Oftentimes, we define ourselves by our passion.

Writer, painter, photographer, 3D designer, dancer.

But when was the last time you said, ‘Oh, I’m a writer’ and didn’t immediately think Wait, am I?.

When was the last time you actually felt like an artist, were in that creative mode, making these wonderful things you were so wonderfully proud of?

Sometimes, the passion just fizzles out. We get busy. Maybe you have work or school or other responsibilities. You just kind of…stop.

But it’s never too late to start again.

Here’s eight ways how.

1. Take a class

Even if you think of yourself as a master of your craft, taking a class could still be a great option.

It could be an intro class, an advanced class, a hyper-specific dive into one little tiny aspect of your field you want to explore.

Classes teach you, yes, but they also give you assignments and deadlines and prompts, things that turn your do-it-whenever hobby into something that you almost ‘have’ to do.
