Most productivity apps are structured linearly — a folder, a file in that folder, a page in that file, a subpage in that page.

And over time, your workspace builds, and builds, and builds, and you can encompass the majority of your life into one app, whether that be Notion or Apple Notes.

But sometimes, you lose track. You lose track of the big idea. You lose track of the overall, birds-eye view. You lose track of the sum of the parts.

And that’s where Obsidian’s graph view comes in.

Obsidian is not the only app with a graph view — far from it.

Apps like Capacities and Supernote have it, too, but Obsidian is probably the app most known for it.
