We all have those days where we’re churning with anger, frustration, exhaustion, and resentment.

It feels like we just want the day to be over — or start all over again — and the whole day will be a waste.

However, there’s still a chance to improve the rest of the day.

End it with a smile, destress, and get rid of all those ugly emotions that make your chest feel tight and your teeth grit together in anger.

So take a deep breath, and see if one of these 14 methods might be the one to fix your long, tiring day.

Let Out Your Feelings

Some thoughts and feelings just won’t go away.

They keep eating at you, swirling around in your mind, louder and louder until you can’t focus on anything else.

If that’s the case, letting out your feelings is probably the best thing to do.

Journal

Journaling and physically writing down what you feel is one of the best ways to understand and deal with your thoughts and emotions.

I find that when I journal, the thoughts that previously kept growing and tugging at me quieted, giving me peace to live in the present instead of obsessing over the past or future.

Sometimes, just writing down a few words or the main gist of your feelings is enough to make them calm down.

Other times, you might have to write down pages and pages about what you’re thinking about.

In the end, though, you should find your mind is a lot quieter and more peaceful, and you’re ready to take on the rest of your day after journaling.

Talk To Someone

Another way to let out and validate your feelings is to talk to someone about it.

Of course, this depends on you and you’re current problems.
